Overall WoW is still the same game. With the “Wrath” expansion I would say the game has gotten better in a number of fundamental ways.
The first is that advancement is more quest based. There are plenty of solo and small group quest to level you up. I am using the quest help mod which is a load of help in finding the locations. This has been a great since now you can take a little more time to read quest etc. without feeling you are delaying progress.
The next thing I see is that many more of the instances are 5 & 10 man raids. This is a huge improvement as 40 man raids, looting rules, point systems etc. where the death of many smaller guilds including the disillusionment of our membership and their exodus to other uber loot orientated guilds.
The change is a welcome change. A little late for DoJ but never the less, those that still like to adventure and explore and sometimes risk it in instances WoW still is a fun game.
Other welcome additions have been a guild banking system and Calendar as well as Voice over IP. All a little late, ok a lot late to be incorporated into a community based game. To late for DoJ but all new games will have these features to start I am sure.
Our numbers are small here but you are all welcome to come back and explore the new lands etc.
I have been enjoying the expansion. My pally is now lvl 70. I stopped due to lack of questing. And I started a Death Knight class that is quite a bit of fun to play. The class is a great solo class as well as in groups. You start the class off at lvl 55 but I am now lvl 73 and it was quite easy. Simple questing is all that is requited.
Over all a much better experience than in the past. There are still many ruff spots if you are trying to lvl up from lvl 1 because they have not added lower level quest to fill those holes. Especially around 45-55.
I am around these days and so are a few others. Stop by or just send me a whisper if you happen to be around this holiday break.
