It seems I activated a 10 trial for the burning crusades by mistake. So, I guess I'll be around for the next few days looking at the game again. Last time if I remember correctly my chars weren't actually apart of the DOJ guilds since I was going to sell the account ... so if the guild still exists I'll need to be let back in I guess.

Oh, nm .... it tells me I need to install wow again before I can install the trail. It's just not worth the trouble of finding the game discs.

not just the discs, patch 3 or whatever. takes a looong time. plus all your skills are reset and you wont know what half of them are. hehe

Ok found the blizzard WOW online installer (it's in the account section)


As lastat pointed out I'd need to patch my first generation CDs anyway so I figured it would be just as fast to download it. It's looking like about an hr for me.

It looks like it worked however I'm suck in a 40min que right now. It seem absurd to me that a game this mature would still have ques.

Ok tried a different server said may account isn't any good with out the burning crusades, so I tried the upgrade now I'm getting a type mismatch DB error. Seems more and more pointless every time I try.

Ok, after about 20gb of downloading I finally got it ... I'll be around tonight if anyone is on zul'jin.

The trick is to ignore the link called the "burning crusade trial client" then download the universal client from the accounts page and BE SURE to select the Burning Crusade client when installing. Don't install anything else.

BTW lastat if I get back into the game I'll be getting wrath, that way I can just move one of my chars to a DK and not worry about wasting a respec =)

I was on tonight for a few hrs. ... it's still the same old game only it felt a bit easier, or maybe the warlock balance is different then before.
