Monday night the 24th at 8pm
You must retrieve the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion from General Drakkisath. Drakkisath can be found in his throne room behind the Halls of Ascension in Blackrock Spire.
It is a piece of the dragon; a scale - enchanted and transformed. Whole, it could have granted access to the beast's lair. Shattered, it is useless.
It is possible to repair the item, but to do so would require the blood of a black dragon champion. There is one... He is known as General Drakkisath, ruler of the dragonspawn armies of Nefarian. Perhaps you have heard of him?
Return with his blood, Jaxs, and I shall enchant the fragment into something that will grant you access to Onyxia's lair.
Who can Help me on this quest?

My priest Neav needs the blood as well..she is 57 atm but should be 58 by tomm night with no problem. Not sure what the min level is for UBRS and wouldn't want her to be any kind of risk but if you need a priest just let me know.

Last night's run got off to a bit of a rough start, but in the end, we took down Drakk and were able to get the blood for a number of the participants.
Thanks to everyone that made that possible.
I'd like to ask a question of those that were there though.
One of the delays we had was the wipe after dropping down into the dragon rider's room. I think the mistake we made there was in trying to get into a defensive position when we realized that we were soon going to be visited by every mob and his brother. If we had just accepted our fate at that point and immediately gone to the corner where we dropped down and agro'd the eggs and died, would the automatic pulls have started? If not then we might have been able to walk back in, drop down, and deal with what whelps that were left then started the automatic event after we were buffed and ready. Has anyone ever tried that?

Good Question. It was a tuff wipe and instance reset. I had a great time. I hope people came away with something good, or at least a good time. It was fun. Setting master loot to Blue was a change for me and a few were confused. I think everyone is beyond green stuff and people can always sell the stuff for some coin.
Was that last sword Purple or Orange? Items like that need to drop more often. To bad I rolled a 12. Win some loose some.
I have been away for a while. I have to say last night I had fun and so maybe I should have a few more small Raids in places people need to complete quest. Thanks everyone!

It was a great time, and that sword was an epic (purple) not a legendary (orange), but still a very nice piece.
Doing those small runs is a lot of fun. I've had a chance to run a few quick attunement runs in the past week and we all had a great time too.
If you are wanting to plan those small runs, make them the nights that the CoA runs ZG or AQ that way more people are available.
The other thing that might be fun is to run some of the lower level instances that people need or want. Black Fathom Deep is a VERY fun run, as is Scarlet Monastery, and let's not forget Mauradon too.
If you want to go just to gear people up and get them some extra cash do Razorfen Krawl or Razorfen Downs. Both of those have nice loot for their levels, and are quick to do.
Dire Maul tribute runs are good loot and small party too.
Man I'd forgotten about all the options out there that don't take 40 people to do.
Maybe it's time to organize a speed run through BFD, like the one The Tenth did for Deadmines. We took teams of five from Stormwind gates through the Deadmines and back to Stormwind. No summoning allowed. Only requirement was that each team contain 1 toon that was the minimum level needed to get into the Deadmines, and that the low level toon was only allowed to equip items that were gotten as drops during the run. We could do the same type of thing for BFD running from Ashenvale to BFD and back.
Just some thoughts.

Once the event starts and you are not sucessful, you have to reset.
The problem was the pet pathing, there are very that follow the master and they don't always. Hunter pet usually don't; Lock's VW sometimes - but just dismiss rather than take the chance.

What I'm asking is whether the event starts the minute you drop down into the corner or if you need to move to the center and approach the gate?
If it's the approach the gate then knowing a wipe is on the way when you first make the jump, could you wipe there in the corner and not have the event start?

Whenever I've been to UBRS, we've always made sure to all jump down at the same time. I think that is what triggers the event, not approaching the gate. We also jumped as far away from the gate where the mobs come in as possible, then spread out. As I recall, we would wait for the mobs to get half way across the room, then go fight them.
