just my thought. keep in mind i wasnt there. a brother at arms that would sell an item rather than letting another brother get some use of it, is not very brotherly. brothers at arms are that for a reason, they must rely on everyone all the time. in the army we used to have e-tool blanket parties for people who would violate that code.
hmmf i didnt use one capitol letter either...

If everyone rolled on the item as greed, you are free to do with it as you wish. You were the high roller and luck was yours. Everyone had the same chance to win the item.
If some people in the party did not roll on the item, because they thought it was something you would use, then you should not have put the item on the AH. In that case you would be claiming need and that means you needed the weapon for use.
Everyone needs more gold. If the item was to be sold, everyone should have rolled. If you claimed need so that you only rolled against those who could equip the weapon, then upon winning it, the item should have been equipped and not sold.
Wasn't there, but those are just the basic loot rules of the guild.

I was there last night and I know exactly what you are talking about... I 100% disagree with you selling that epic item. I understand your reasonings that you won it and its yours, however when we are talking going to MC with the CoA the whole point is to equip our CoA members with the best gear possible so that way we can get through MC alot easier and then hope to move to trying to kill stuff in BWL and then eventually the harder instances that will be coming in the expansion.
All the other warriors that rolled along with you really couldve used that item and I know for a fact so far one of the warriors that rolled for it with you found out about it being on the AH and he is very upset. You have to understand that getting this purple gear is what is going to get us through all these high end dungeons.
The Alliance works together on this to get as many people within these guilds as strong as possible, its called teamwork and unity.
To me Going to MC and rolling need on a class specific item means it is going to be equppied on your character...it would be different if the entire raid was rolling greed on items..then do want you want/need with it(ex:Lava cores etc..)
I know personally I am very dissapointed you are trying to sell it but what upset me even more is that after the raid you were complaining in guild chat because your roll for a Lava Core was void since you won the epic...I mean seriously there are 40 people there let everyone get a shot at getting something for their efforts as well. Being upset for winning a purple but not getting a core as well is being very greedy. Many of these people have been going faithfully for weeks and months and never got an epic, you should be grateful. I know for me personally I have won one epic and that was like 2 months ago. Since then I haven't gotten any and you know what that doesnt matter to me...I will continue to go even if I never get another. Why? because I really enjoy being with all of them and I have a great time with friends. That to me is worth a heck of alot more than some fake in game item...just my 2 cents.

I myself am very disappointed in your actions Darkneo. Those rolls on epic items are for NEED, not greed. There were a number of warriors who rolled on that item based on the need for it. Any one of them that had won would have equipped that item to give them a better chance of survival next time they went to MC. We count on those that win the epics to do just that. Not only does it enhance their chance to survive, but it also enhances EVERYONE on the raid's chance to survive and advance further along in the instance with each run. We COUNT on that.
You've basically betrayed a trust that others put in you and that's just plain wrong.
The other thing that disappoints me is that you actually rolled on a lava core after winning the epic item. If you remember, after I congratulated you on your winning roll (boy I wish I could take that back now) I specifically told you that you COULD NOT roll on or win any other items until next Tuesday when the instance reset. I reiterated by saying that you weren't even eligible to win even a dark iron ore, and you seemed to understand and accept that. After all those are the loot rules that are CLEARLY posted on the CoA website Then after I won an item and left the group you turn around and try to win a second item on the same night you won an epic. What part of our conversation didn't you understand. Then to get pissy in guldchat about not being given the core you won. I can't even begin to understand where you were coming from.
Keep in mind that I did my best to get you to MC. I urged you on to get to lvl 60. I took you through BRD to get you attuned. I vouched for you in tells to a number of people within the CoA asking them to try to get you in on one of the raids, and how do you repay me? You've not only hurt your own reputation, but you've put a mark on my credibility within the CoA organization. That's something I just can't forgive.
I'm not sure what you're next plan of action is, but even if it is to pull that item off the AH and equip it, I'm still not sure I can forgive your actions.

Idiotic posts annoy me no matter what game they from.
Looking at your posts within last couple weeks......
First you say you are quitting cause all the stupid people in the guild, then you come back saying the guild is like family and now you go and post this giberish. Make up your mind will you, I thought I had issues....
Oh and weren't you the guy who had someone else play your account and powerlevel your characters. Is that going to be your excuse now, he was really the one playing in MC last night(so didnt understand rules) and also posted the above message.
Such strange people

All I have to say is this Dark, The COA works as a group of guilds working together to try and get better eqiuped, Do these high end instances, but most of all Have fun. We've rolled on loot based off of need, unless its not needed, which it then turns to greed. The point of this, is to equip anyone who needs the gear, and everyone has a chance at something, so they don't feel they get nothing in the end. Some people have gone 20 times, and still have recieved no purple loot, but continue to go when needed, becuase they enjoy the idea of people working together, and the jokes in TS, and in the raid, and at the same time, a sense of accomplishment.
Now, though the raid was probibly fun, yet a hard and frustrating, you've taken the key idea, and turned made it look as if your main objective there is not the same as what everyone else's is from the COA. I take personal offence to that even though I was not there. I have won many items from there, I am just plain lucky, but even if the item drops the first night, and I have no personal gain outside of experience, I go the next nights in hopes others will get items, and in hope of a good time by all.
If you want gold, generally, you can go out and farm, or win a green or blue item at the end of a raid. Selling something like that, that I'm sure other warriors in the raid needed, is disrespectful to them, and to the rest of the raid. Thats fine, don't appologise, I believe we all see what type of a person you are from this simple act.

Looks like greed wins again... Pretty disappointing Neo. Was the $$ worth losing the respect of your guildmates?

I have to agree with everyone here Dark, you are clearly on the wrong side of this issue. I think your actions and comments are clearly inexcusable. In the past your off color remarks in DOJ’s guild chat and forums have been dismissed as you just being quirky. DOJ is a member of a collation of smaller guilds that join together to achieve goals that would normally be out of reach for them. In attendance at these events we are representatives of DOJ and your actions portrayed DOJ negative manor. This was your very first MC run with COA members and you were given the opportunity to roll on an epic item. I was there, Keelman broke the tradition of rolling BOE epic items at the end of the raid because he felt that it would be put to use to further our advancement into uncharted areas of Molten Core. You thumbed your nose not only at the 39 other raid members but at the rest of the sister guilds in COA. Your actions reflected negatively on particular members that spoke up for you. To see DOJ lose yet another level 60 player is deserting, but I think it is best for all involved. This may be a good time to review the membership policy of DOJ. I have only been a member for a short while but I can think of two cases where a new member caused unnecessary turmoil in guild chat. I would like to think that we are all like minded or at least reasonable individuals. I expect that none of us needs this much drama while spending time playing a game. I offer up that membership invitations should only be extended to individuals that pass through some process, maybe group up with officers and other members to see how we fit. Perspective members can then be directed to the forums where they can be educated on DOJ’s policies.

Yeah...it is just a game Neo, but you have to think of EVERYONES enjoyment and not just your own, I mean I have seen countless people saying things like "this place is no fun anymore" all the time, but that is a choice to make....I won't say I at all happy at what you have done, but you have to look at it this way, there are guilds out there that would probably applaud what you have done and some people too, but the bottom line of this matter is whether or not it was really worth the effort you are putting into the game....
Now I see everyone jumping up to say something bad about what you have done, I'm not saying they are wrong...the loot rules are very clear, but I would like to take notice that to be honest , I hate to say this, but I might have done the same thing in your place....now I go through money like it was water because of the way I play my toons..and am now just starting near the end of it all to be able to collect enough for things, and honestly...2300gp is worth it, but if it meant I would be alienated by my guildmates...I would have to pass...but I will admit that the urge to do it is hard to pass up...anyone who says they wouldn't feel the urge imo is lying
Now with that said and done.....I would like some assistance in getting Plisken to 60...any and all help is appreciated...whether you are guildies or not anymore and you read this......I'm lvl 44 and it's starting to get to crunch time...that and if any Leatherworkers could spare some Turtle Scales...I would be very thankful.....

Neo just for the record I want to clear up a few things.
First no one thinks your stupid..especially not Arin or myself. People make mistakes, no one is perfect. Unfortunately with mistakes sometimes comes repercussions and/or lessons to be learned.. That is how we move on into the future and try our hardest to make sure it doesnt happen again.
I do not agree one bit with your actions nor will I ever but I can at least understand from your view point that the 2300g wouldve been helpful to have towards the expensive cost of outfitting all your characters.(If that is actually the reason you did try to sell them)
How ever for myself having trust and respect from my friends is and always will be more important than any amount of money.
I am not happy to see you go as you put it, however for this situation I do agree it is the best decision. I wish you the best in game and in life, take care...Jay

2300gp... mmm Thats is good coin, I cannot deny that.
Could I use that through my account? Yeppers.
Would I go against a mutual trust to obtain it? No.
As many know, I make my coins buying & selling on the AH. Its easy money, and Ive met a few nice people through it as well. I don't go crazy & get greedy. Mostly, I buy any items I am lucky enough to find that are priced under market, and mark them up to market and hope to make some coins in the middle.
But I am aware that when I am amongst friends, or brotherhood guilds, that the people themselves involved mean more to me than anything I could possibly obtain anywhere else in game. I hold the virtues to heart, and act upon them. I am like this in RL, and I try to withhold those values in game. Ask anyone that truly knows me what I wouldn't do or give to aid a brother in arms.
One of the few things in life, either in game or not, that you cannot buy, take by force, or steal, is the friendship & trust of a good friend.
With that said, I cannot fathom any way that your actions could have minutely taken any of these factors into consideration.
I am a man of forgiveness. If somehow you were able to bring across a logical & moral reasoning for your actions that I could understand, you would indeed receive my apologies 10 fold.
I sincerely hope that you have contacted the CoA and potentially tried to make a public apology.
