Ive mentioned in another post that im thinkin of gettin another XFX HD 6950 card for my comp. Tho, Im having second thoughts. It will be an improvement for sure...but there are headaches to SLI and Crossfire with two or more cards. I still believe that one great card is better than two good cards. No headaches included in that belief too. What I wanted to do was replace my card first...then my ram...Ive got 12 gigs of ram thats really ment for Intel instead of AMD...but it works so Im usin it for now....and last for the moment...a good SSD drive for my operating system and the only game I'll be playing for the next few years....GW2 hehe. Now that I've said all that..... What would you guys recomend? This is going to be a christmas gift to me...so it wont happen in the next few months. An HD 7970? GTX 680 FTW model? Save up extra pennies for the 690? AMD doesnt seem to be pushing a dual gpu card at the moment(as in, there isnt one for sale on Newegg at the moment)...Is there good reason to wait for that? Id rather have a card that i can use for the long haul and if my system needs an overhaul in the next year or two...then I still have a great card for it, .... over getting something ill replace in a year or two.
