This will cause some rage so I figure I'll just post it here and link to it in game . forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=303086Key part- If you have a legendary that can reach level 50, but it hasn't yet, and it's already past level 20, you need to get it to level 50 BEFORE Siege of Mirkwood launches or you WILL lose out on the level 50 legacy. The reason for this is that instead of gaining legacies at 10, 30 and 50, legendaries will gain legacies at 10, 20 and 30. There is no distinction between pre-SoM and post-SoM legendaries when reforging. Instead of gaining a new legacy at level 50, one of the existing legacies will recieve a 1-tier upgrade instead. ========================= Basically as long as its below 19 you will be okay but will lose a slot if its not at 50. We will all likely be changed Legendary items within a couple levels anyway but this is something that I am sure is important . I myself have no maxed weapons but several in the 30's I just couldn't be bothered.
