Greetings Terina!

Currently there is no active Guild Leader (Rank 0) in your guild Defenders of Justice on the Bedevere server. If you wish to retain your Guild Leader status in this guild, it is important that you log this character into the game within 1 days. If the character has not logged into the game within 1 days of this letter being issued, then they will be demoted to Rank 9 within the guild and a new leader will be appointed based upon the highest ranking member who is currently active within the game. This is being done in accordance with our Guild Maintenance Policy which is explained below.

Guild Maintenance Policy

Guilds are an integral part of Dark Age of Camelot. In order to ensure the longevity of any guild, we must make sure that every guild has a Guild Leader (guild rank 0) with the authority to make critical changes in guild structure and guild setup. We assume that if a guild leader is absent for more than 3 weeks, that the guild leader has abandoned the guild (for whatever reason). At this point we will auto-promote a new guild leader from within the guild. The system works as follows:

1. If we see that there are no active Guild Leaders within a guild (anyone with guild rank 0), for a period of 30 days, then we send an e-mail to the missing Guild Leader(s). This e-mail informs them that if they do not log in within 14 days, they will forfeit their position as Guild Leader and someone else will be promoted to fill the position. They will receive a second email after 7 days of the first, if they have not logged in yet. This e-mail informs them that if they do not log in within 7 days, they will forfeit their position as Guild Leader, and someone else will be promoted to fill the position.
2. If no Guild Leader character is logged in for a period of two weeks after becoming inactive, we will then automatically demote the old Guild Leader to Rank 9 within the guild, and promote a new Guild Leader from within the ranks of the guild. The system will promote the next active (logged in within the last week) highest ranked character within the guild. If there is more than one character of that next highest rank, then the character who has logged in most recently will be promoted.
3. The old Guild Leader will be sent an e-mail explaining the actions that were taken.
4. The new Guild Leader will be sent an e-mail explaining the actions that were taken.
5. Once these changes are made, the new Guild Leader is in command of the guild, and the changes will not be reversed for any reason.

We realize that this may not be the perfect solution, but it is critical and in the best interest of everyone involved, that each guild has an active Guild Leader.

I got the promotion invite. Trying to log in now. Bedevere server going down, decomissioned, looks like we need to move to a Gwain server

Yeah that's something you got to look into, moving the guild to the Ywain server. I had figured Fitz or someone had done that already.

There's a guild/guildhouse packup command I think. You just won't be able to get the same location though.

I can transfer the guild, but need to form a new guild to transfer into, need help with this step. Anyone available? I will not do anything until I get a few responses.

Guild leaders who would like to move their guild to a new server have two tools to help with that: “/gc packhouse” and “/gc transfer”. These will enable a player to take certain aspects of their guild with them when using /freexfer.



/gc packhouse allows a rank 0 member of a guild who does not already have a house to transfer ownership of the guild house to themselves in order that it can be transferred with the /freexfer command. Consignment merchants and items on a hookpoint inside the house such as merchants, bindstones, vaults, and tradeskill tools will need to be picked up before the guild house can be packed.



/gc transfer disbands the guild and transfers guild information onto the rank 0 member of the guild who ran the command. It allows you to store the guild realm points, bounty points, and merit points on your character during the /freexfer. In order to unpack a guild on the destination server, the character that packed the guild data must be the leader of the group that is forming the new guild. The guild name will not be saved - you will need to form the new guild in the exact same way that the old one was formed. When the new guild is formed, the Realm Points, Bounty Points, and Merit Points information will be pulled from the character and applied to the new guild instantly.



At the time of this writing, the “/gc packhouse” and “/gc transfer” commands are only available to the Knights. We will makes these commands available to all players as soon as we’re done with internal testing.
