Some of this stuff might have been mentioned before
Land and Scenery-
The land is pretty big definitely on par with North Downs & Lone Lands. The initial treck for the various horse routes took a while. As mentioned in patch notes (if you read them! ) for fast travel you have to get reputation, which kinda sucks but there's still the slow routes.
If you like cold and snow this is your zone. There's a forest down near the Evendim entrance but after that the zone is basically a cold desolate waste land with lots of hills. I didn't see any of the new enhanced snow storms yet.
Don't go in the big ocean, you get some warning as you see your morale drop but if you stay you will be retreating cause that water is just very cold . Water in the southern part is okay at least was for me.
Creatures
The usual wolves and some wargs. The zone has the Guradan guys that you see in Evendim and High Pass also some of those yeti type guys from misty mountains. There's white worms but nowhere the density of MM and High Pass. Oh and can't forget Hoary Auroch's heh .
Newer creatures include Moose, Saber Tigers which look pretty cool and some sort of glowy wisp type creature that does frost damage has nice effects.
Monster density, there's no rabid moose or wild animals attacking you all over. They did pretty good keeping the mobs off the main paths. The respawn's seem kinda fast but maybe they upping it cause it is a new zone.
Quests-
The quests are 44 to 50. I didn't do all that many yet but just going around to the various locations I filled up my quest journal to the maximum allowed(did have a few high pass ones though). A lot are solo, a good majority of them, I think I only had a few small fellowship quests.
The UI
They redid the quest/fellowship tabs. Several new tabs for easier sorting of quests, can separate into showing just solo, group, raid, etc. They made it easier in principle to use the LFF panel, you can sort by the quests you have to see who else is doing a specific quest. Unfortunately it is only as useful as the people who use it and I still doubt many will.
Fishing
No experience with this other then what I read on the boards. You can fish in any body of water and type of stuff you get depends on your skill in fishing. It is the generic click on fishing skill, watch the green bar, nothing really involved in it which isn't surprising. Have to find a hobby master to learn fishing in all the basic towns.
Miscellaneous
There's some new emotes, animations and sound effects. It is so cold you can see the cool air as you breathe . When you fall you sort of have a crouch appearance.
Award for most annoying sound effect. Your character now whistles when calling your horse(ala DAOC) and not once but twice. It'll get pretty annoying if a lot of people are around.
I have not checked out the changes to anuminas need group for that.
