Heh... Return of the Jedi was initially titled "Revenge of the Jedi", but they dissed the word "Revenge" because Jedi aren't supposed to want to "revenge". So Lucas went with "Return" instead. Seems like they've recycled the idea, changing the word "Jedi" to "Sith" since the Sith are the bad dudes. /eagerly awaiting the movie, no matter what's its title

yeah me too. The Star Wars fanboy in me hopes this movie will make up foir the dissapointment of the first two ( although the second movie was an improvement over the first), the pessimist in me is geting ready to be dissapointed. At least the original trilogy will be out on dvd soon.

The original trilogies won't be untouched Mr. Lucas apparently changing a few things-
Rumored but I dont think offically released
1. Hayden Christensen(?) scene at end of RoJ, 2. Naboo(including gungans) at the end of RoTJ during all the planetary celebrations 3. The guy that played the emperor in all the movies except ESB will also be in that one now. 4. Han shoots FIRST against Greedo
Least likely 5. Heard something about added CGI effects in the Obi Wan/Vader battle but think this is BS.
-------------------------- Plus side is probably any digitally remastered effects, things will look a lot better graphics wise.

The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn did a segment on RotS. During his "IN THE NEWS" segment he talked about the announcement and when he siad Revenge of the Sith the audience snickered a bit. He stated that the one title that was almost used was "Yet Another Dissapointment."
He said Lucas has broke new ground with RotS because his used a script.
He then talked about how the Republic will fall, Yoda is banished to Dagobah and that Tatooine plays an important role. While he talked about RotS the bottom of the screen flashed "JEDI DORK ALERT."
They then talked to a fan dressed as Vader. Kilborn asked if he liked the title and he replied "Criag I am your father." Craig laughed a bit and he said "Ha Ha your Darth Vader. Now tell me what do you think of the title?
Vader "But I am your father. You mother was really into Star Wars and we had a one night stand at a Comfort Inn."
Craig "I'm totally shocked by this. Why are you telling me now and why do you where that mask."
Vader "Because I'm embarassed that your my son."

This guy regularly has screen caps from RotS (via the subscriber-only Hyperspace website). Just a couple of days ago he had screen caps taken from the upcoming original trilogy DVDs, including enhaced light sabre duel between Obiwan and Vader, Hayden inserted in place of Sabastian Shaw at the end of RotJ, the new-new versions of Jabba from ANH. Unfortunately that's all been taken down as of today, though he does have some nice RotS shots of Hayden as Anakin and as Vader. Worth checking frequently! photobucket.com/albums/v296/tk007/

I do have to admit, the actor who plays Anakin looks downright psychotic in those duel scenes. I hope the rumours about the duel being fought while they're surfing on a sea of lava turns out to be false. That just sounds lame to me. Dammit,I can feel it happening again,I'm gettin excited about another Star Wars movie even though I know it'll be a dissapointment.

I was about to say something about the lava, but I refrained from doing so because some might consider it a spoiler.
All I can say is, from the literature (and has possibly been mentioned in one of the "original" movies, I'm not sure), the presence of a duel involving lava makes sense with the story.

Wow,I must be slipping on my Star Wars lore then. But it has been awhile. All I remember was reading ( this is when I was a kid mind you,an that was looong time ago hehe) that in their duel, Obi Wan almost kills Anakin, and his injuries are so severe that he dons the suit to keep himself alive. I am intrigued in how they will tie it all together. Please George, don't cock it up for us. *prays* Btw sorry about the lava comment.HGope i didn't spoil anything. Suddenly I'm reminded of the Simpsons episode where Homer and Marge walk out of Empire Strikes Back and Homer says " I never wouldda guessed Darth Vader was Luke's father" Doh!

Haha, I am reminded of this Simpson quote each time I get out of the movie room and pass by the lineup. It's one of my favorite Simpsons quotes. And well, according to the books I read, you are right on about the duel. Except that it also involves lava.
