Nice to be thought of. I have gone as far as installing ToA and the frontiers expansion but have not logged into my main characters for a long time. It seems you need even more "stuff" to RvR these days and that turns me off. DAoC PvP is still the best system I have seen in a MMO, though. I miss fighting hibs and mids with you guys. Be well and have fun.

Yep that would have been Xug'muk. Loing dead though heh. Seems like Shadowclan is about to give up on Catskills UO too, but I stopped in for a bit of humie bashing on Siege when they had that 15 day welcome back thing.

Hiya XMack....yeah, you'll always be XMackenzie to me. Actually read a Pierre Berton book on the Klondike and found out where you got some of your names, heh. Anyway good to see ya.
I wonder how UO is doing. I still have an account, but I really should bite the bullet and close it down. I think what DoJ still play UO, play it on Ras' shard. I doubt I'll ever go back really....just inertia and nostalgia keep me from shutting down that last account. I have some great memories though from the seer quest days. Those were the days.

I recently flipped my UO account open for a month, then closed it heh. Game is just too far gone now. Much as I enjoy DAOC realm PvP, UO had some of the best Player vs Player and Guild vs Guild PvP, as well as the beauty of the Seer quests. Siege still gives some of the old feel, but the population on all shards seems to be down and the core focus of the designers seems to be the pixel crack brit bank crowd, not the roleplayers. Best thing in DAOC's favour for me is that my wife plays it too, so UO or any of the other games really don't have a chance. As far as getting up the moxy to close the UO account, the trick is to kill off your characters. I did that for my two main characters XMackenzie and Xug'muk, although XMackenzie lives on in spirit as Mackenzie in DAOC. The Friar class is about as close to what I imagined XMack to be as a character (healer/fighter hybird) so I'm happy. Skookum Jim has a new life over there (as Skookom Jim) too, crafting up a storm for the newbies. Anyhow, link to the old seer quest stuff: www.geocities.com/xmackenzie88/ Be forewarned that geocities sucks and will probaly end up giving that bandwidth usage error garabage. If so just check it later if you're really interested. And Myo, kinda hard to forget ya as I been chasing Balm for the #2 DoJ realm point spot for ages. On the strength of a banner week with the release of New Frontiers I managed to sneak by. Only 1 million RP's or so to go to catch Tysus. Provided he stops killing heh. The best thing I like about the new frontiers system is the Towers. Gives smaller guilds like ours a chance to claim something and really help out in realm defense / offense. Berk1 seems to have become Justice Guardtower in the frontier. New Siege gear is a lot of fun to use.

The one thing i really miss is runin around as cavemen.. that had to be one of the funniest/enjoyable times in UO... especially that night when all of us went to Yew and wreaked havoc on the rest of the RP crowd. ahh memories....

Yah the caveman thing was a blast, in fact the caveman thing is what prompted me to try out Shadowclan. I really had fun with the low-brow character and when the caveman thing sort of fizzled out I rolled my first Shadowclan character.
