Wonder who the dev is that has been around since the beginning. Doesn't seem like it is anyone that posts on the boards.

MMORPG.com: Ultima started as a single-player RPG franchise, any plans to go back to that route with a new Ultima game? What about Ultima Online 2?

I started back about two weeks ago with the 9th Anniversary version. I forgot how much I truly enjoy this game. There seems an endless amount of things to explore and skills to gain.
It's really nice not to be worried about leveling. Also, it seems like a lot of others are coming back and DOJ seems alive and well.

While I loved the game as much as anyone else had, I dont think I can withstand the dated graphics. And even while the expansion graphics look much more pleasing, I still dont think It will visibly please myself.
Im an eye candy kind of guy I guess. (shrugs) For now, I remain within the realms of EQ2.
