first time back on Asgeroth II...........

Its a real shame we havent been able to get this shard runnin fairly active.

Ill probably never put cash back into UO....as in pay osi/EA. Ill be most active on Angel Island till the day Angel Island is no more. But I want to try and get back into our shard again. I hope some of you old schoolers will take a few moments now and then to at least come and say "hi" to us. Most of the reason I ever even played and payed for UO was to chat with you guys live.

We are still there every Monday night between about 630pm central time and 9-10.

I, for one, would be glad to show up more often if we get others playing again.

well, as already said...i wont give up on Angel Island, but i will put more time into ours. I did have fun tonite. All my profiles in razor are gone for our shard. But I did set up some on Shiva my necro peacemake bard. Not the perfect solo template, but im enjoyin my ass off on him. When done he will be as follows:

120 music
120 peacemake
120 necromancy
120 meditation
120 spiritspeak
120 hiding

Is there any benifit to 120 hide here? Like, if targeted by baddie...able to hide less than 8 tiles away? At GM its able to hide from pissed bad guys with a minimum of 8 tiles between ya.

If there isnt a benifit,(less than 8 tiles, like 4 or something) then ill stick with gm hide and 20 focus.

I had gm provoke, but said hell with it. Im using this guy for extra cash/items, but mainly for hides/scales. Kill beasts in say...destard. Animate dead till i get a dragon dead. Then animate him to a skele drag....rince and repeat till i have 5 skele dragons. Pain in the ass to collect all the loot. everything dies around me, heh.

What i need is a guy to come in with some beetles...i kill em(the dragons & such), they help loot/skin em for hides and such. Then when we leave, split loot, go halves on gold, and split the hides/scales.

As long as i have regular dragons to re-animate...we are good to go. Those are the ones that turn into skele drags. Green dragons turn into fleshies, and drakes into liches. While those do ok in combat... the skele drags last the longest and kill the quickest.

Ive actually had a hankering to play this again at least once in awhile. I miss seeing you guys and I also miss my dragons lol.
I no longer have UO installed but have been wanting to be able to pop on from time to time and have some fun with the ones that are srill playing.

Ok editing this for a refresher course on what I need to do again..do I need to find all my game cd's again for install or is there somewhere else I can grab it from? I remember Uo gateway but read it doesnt work with the new patch or something. Man I feel like a newb but I cant remember the first thing I need to do to get Asgeroth up and running.
Any help/tips are appreciated ;D

I would download uo from www.gamespot.com/promos/ultimaonline/index.html .

Fileplanet also offers a download but they had some weasel language that seemed like you needed to activate the ea trial account (give them your credit card info) and it definitely requires agreeing to sharing your personal info with advertisers.

Don't bother to update at EA UO or you won't be able to use Gateway. The above link is for the uo gold package so it should be fine for Asgeroth without patching (I'm running it this way and haven't had any problems).

Sweet!!!!, by the way you can get on Run UO shards by just using Razor...if yer lazy like me, heh.

We need to get Chris to come try it out. Its free, and practially any connection from just about anywhere will do just fine on it. ;D

Im runnin on a beater HP pavillion...and this thing has deffinately had better days. Been runnin non stop since 2001. Only been shut of whenever I have a power outtage. Between that and my 256 mb ram and on board graphics...oh and the kick booty 230 kbps conn. And I bet I can probably keep up with the lot of ya on pretty much any Run UO shard out there. At least so far ive not had much issues with lag and such, heh.

Ok I am back in now lol..got it up and running just a few mins ago.
Was running Jayden and Searra around but just realized here on Asgeroth I dont have a hunter....hmmm *Scratches head* I will have to rectify that

Jayden...What kind of hunter you lookin for? Templates are always fun to mess with...I should know Im sure Vlad will agree with me, heh.

Just dont go trainin hide from scratch. Day 3 of macroing and im around 28 in skill. I was going to try and bump up the skill by wearing ring & braclet combo that would bump up my hide skill. Unfortunately I dont have it, and Vlad doesnt in his community chest. So not sure if its slow to gain cuz my skill is low....or if it just plain sucks to gain hide here.

ya, partial operator error....as in, not used to our shard being so close to osi/ea shards. Ive gotten so used to how other Run UO shards operate, that i didnt even think of using a boat and just constantly moving while workin skill. ;-)
