But Im gettin scared to now. Ive been doing some searching on the net. And i see lots of complaints and little compliments over this chevy. Im a ford fan to be honest but im tryin to get a nice newer car or truck.
I went and tried gettin a nice 2003 dodge neon. Drove if for about 800 miles and loved every mile of it. Unfortuneatly the peeps that chrysler go through on loans are a pain in the arse. So today i took it back, no big deal to me. drove a car for a month and only had to pay for the gas, okie dokies, heh.
went to ford and they had a very nice 99 blazer that is loaded and has like 60k miles on it. Now from drivin' fords and such, 60k is no biggie. but what ive read, around 55k miles front wheel bearings go out at a cost of like 400 bucks a pop! Fuel pumps goin out at 500 a pop! seat recline handles breakin in yer hands, transmissions fraggin out. Dear god!!! And for you non chevy fans, dont go sayin somethin silly like stay with ford unless you dealt with this. Trust me, ive said it alot and have had peeps say that to me about my old beat up ford farm truck.
Had the starter go out in it and went to a parts shop to buy a new rebuilt one. Mine was covered in oil and such. And a chevy fan said i shoulda bought a chevy. I then let him know it was out of an 86 ford pickup that has had a rough treaded life, and its the original ford motorcraft part that it came with from the factory. and that it finally went out after 300k miles. He shut up after that. So ya i like ford.
But this chevy blazer seems mighty nice. So Any of you own or owned a 99 chevy blazer that had these types of crazy problems with soooo little miles on the beasts? if so please post, Ill prolly hear from the Ford dealership monday, and if this is such bad mojo. Ill end up sayin nada on the blazer, and go with the car they showed me.......its a loaded mercury cougar.
