Well osi did a number on everyone again. They started the final part of phase 3 by turning off autorefresh Wednesday. They did their backflip today and turned autorefresh back ON until January 7.
They say they did it for us, lololol. What lying bastards. We have been joking all week about what story they would come up with to extend phase 3. Guess we know now.
Nice way to get people to reactivate and start accounts for the housing then cheat them out of another month (houses can't fall before 10 days after the 7th-so the 17 of Jan is earliest). I'm not sure what other reasons they could have. It's not like the reasons they gave were anything new. The one thing I am sure is they did it for their benefit, not ours.

Housing Decay Reprieve Dec 12 2003 4:34PM CST (GMT -06:00)
Due to a large amount of confusion over the final state of the housing system, we will be making one permanent and two temporary changes to housing.
* The grace period is now permanently 90 days instead of 10 days. This will mean that if your account becomes inactive, you must reactivate it within 90 days or your house(s) will begin to decay.
* Between now and January 7th, any “condemned-inactive” house on an account that is reactivated will become a legitimate “primary” house. (Grandfathered house owners please note that only one house will convert to “Primary” per account.) When the global auto-refresh was in effect, houses on inactive accounts were not decaying even though the inactive state had condemned them—and this was exactly as intended. When the global auto-refresh was turned off, some players reactivated accounts and expected their houses to start refreshing on their own, but the system knew that more than 15 days had passed (the original 10-day grace period plus the 5-day decay period) and forced the houses to stay in their “condemned-inactive” state—and this was also as designed. However, the large amount of confusion on this issue has shown us that this aspect of housing was never clear enough, and so starting today we will be changing all of these “condemned-inactive” houses on active accounts to “primary” houses (grandfathered accounts will have their most recently placed houses become primary while the rest are condemned). This process will continue to occur daily until Wednesday, January 7, 2004, CST as we make sure to properly capture all houses that fall into this confusing situation.
* We will temporarily resume automatically refreshing houses until Wednesday, January 7, 2004, CST to help all players/accounts catch up with these “Housing Decay Reprieve” changes. On January 7 we will stop automatically refreshing all houses.
In a nutshell: If you have a house on an inactive account that you want to keep, be sure to reactivate your account before January 7th to ensure that your house will not decay!
We thank you for your patience in this matter.
